Cast Iron Figure from the 19th Century, St. Joseph with Child

A iron scultupure from the 19th centruy did find a new place in Switzerland. It comes from a monestary in Moulhouse (France).

A nunnery in Moulhouse was dissolved. In it's garden used to stand a St. Joseph Scultpure from the 19th century. A beautiful cast iron figure, characterised from the many years. After a short stop at our exhibition in Gontenbad, the community of a Brotherhood was interested in it. The figure should be placed on the forecourt, fittingly to the existing St. Bartholomew. Aslike the existing sculpture, St. Joseph got sand blasted, zinc sprayed and patinated by a church restorer. Now St. Joseph stands with Child Jesus directly at the main street on the forecourt of the church.
